Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Sessions are offered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and can be attended from your phone, tablet, or computer. Phone sessions are also available.

Many men appreciate the privacy and convenience of meeting from their own space. In my experience, remote work can be just as focused, connected, and effective as in-person sessions.

Yes. I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation.

It’s a chance to talk about what’s going on, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

We’ll have a brief conversation about what’s going on and how I might help. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule a first session.

Sessions are 55 minutes and start on the hour.

I offer weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

Most men begin weekly to build momentum, then adjust as the work unfolds. We’ll figure out what makes the most sense for you.

Yes.

Many men reach out when something in their relationship isn’t working – connection has faded, tension keeps building, or things feel stuck.

We focus on how you show up in the relationship:
emotionally, in communication, and under stress.

Patterns like shutdown, avoidance, people-pleasing, or reactivity start to shift in practical ways.

I started my counseling practice doing couples work, so I bring a clear understanding of how these patterns form – and how they change.

It depends.

Many men experience relief and clarity relatively quickly. Some choose to continue longer to deepen the work and build lasting change.

We’ll move at a pace that makes sense for you.

That’s a fair question.

This work is practical and experiential. We focus on real issues in your life and relationships, not abstract ideas, or endless analysis.

Over time, most men notice shifts in how they relate to themselves, manage stress, and show up with others.

The consultation is a good way to see if this is a good fit before committing.

“I’m not sure I’m ready to open up to a stranger.

That hesitation makes sense – trust matters.

There’s no pressure to be open quickly or share more than you’re ready for. We move at your pace.

Many men find that within a few sessions, it no longer feels like talking to a stranger – but to someone who understands them and is in their corner.

“I feel like I should be able to handle this on my own.”

A lot of men feel this way.

You’ve likely spent years pushing through and relying on yourself.
That works – until it doesn’t.

Reaching out isn’t weakness.
It’s a sign that something in you knows it’s time for a different way.

Real change tends to happen in connection – not in isolation.

This work is personal for me.

I’ve had strong male mentors, deep friendships, and meaningful experiences in men’s groups. I’ve seen how much changes when men have space to be honest, supported, and challenged in the right way.

Helping men do this work feels like one of the most meaningful ways I can contribute.
